because, since, as, for
since, as, because, for都用来表示原因,但它们有区别。 since比as意味略强,较because为弱。since通常译为“既然”,比as更正式。 since与as常用在书面语中,引导的从句常表示显而易见、众所周知的原因,而且常放在句首,用来代替because。 在故事中,有时用for代替because,但为旧用法。for常用于表示推测性的原因,而且它引导的句子常放在句尾。
