reveal, disclose, expose, uncover
这几个词均可作“揭露”解。其区别在于:reveal可表示揭露某些掩盖着的事实,还可表示显露或显示出以前不知道的或未被认识的东西。disclose表示某些故意掩盖的事实被披露了,有时也用来表示以前不为人所知的东西被人知道了。expose则表示揭露某些使人不愉快、不光彩的事情,在前面这三个词中,expose语气最强。uncover意义为经过努力而发现真相。试比较:
