around, round, about
这三个词都有“围绕”的意思，但含义和用法不尽相同，需要注意以下几点：
1. 当描述环形动作或曲线运动，表示“围绕”时，英国英语多用round，而美国英语用around居多，例如：
round/around the corner拐角处
turn round/around转身
round/around the day 一整天
round/around the table 围着桌子
2. 表示把东西分发给一伙人中的每一个人或是到某地的各处，英国人用round，而美国人用around,例如：
Hand round/around the papers.把文件散发一下。
Just look round / around on campus.在校园里逛一逛吧。
3. 用来指不很明确或不很确定的运动或位置，表示“不止一处”、“在许多地方”时，可用around, round, about,但在美国英语中一般只用around，例如：
wandering around/round/about到处游荡
stand around/round/about在各处站着
4. 美国英语中的 around和英国英语中的about一样，可以用于短语动词当中，描述无聊，不成系统、浪费时间或是无意义的活动，例如：
