wait for, await, expect, look forward to
这几个词都含有“期待”，“等待”的意思。其区别在于：wait for 和await 强调动作，表示等待要来的人或要发生的事；可能事先作好安排，也可能什么也不做，只是等待。await比wait for 正式，其后必须接宾语。expect意为“期待”，强调的是一种思想状态，表示认为某人会来或某事会发生。look forward to则含有“喜滋滋地期待”之义。试比较：
