trip, travel, journey, voyage, tour, excursion这些词都可表示“旅行”，但含义及用法有异。travel 最为普通，除表示旅行以外，还可表示人、动物等被传送。 trip可指任何形式或任何目的的短期旅行，有时可与journey互换。journey可指陆路、海路、空路的旅行，但一般用于有预定地点的较长距离的陆上旅行。voyage指水路或空路旅行，不管距离长短。tour指周游，是根据一定的路线及事先预定的地点，最后回到原出发点的活动。outing是指户外的郊游，路途较短。excursion指距离较短，准备迅速返回的游览。试比较：
