用法说明
meet
1. meet表示“遇见”或“相遇”，如果与介词with搭配使用，则表示“遭遇”，含有“偶尔”的意思；meet with sb. 也可表示“会见”、“会晤”，这种用法多用于美国英语中。试比较：
I met him this morning.今天早上我碰见了他。
I met with him this morning.今天早上我同他不期而遇。
The President met with these foreign visitors. 总统会见了这些外国客人。
2. meet, satisfy 这两个词都含“满足”之义。不过，对于一般的需求用meet，而对于生活上的需求则要用satisfy，试比较：
Twenty dollars will meet my immediate needs.有20美元就可以应付我的急需了。
He earns enough to satisfy his needs.他挣的钱够他生活上用的了。
