shake, tremble, quake, quiver, shiver, shudder
所有这些词都可作“发抖”解。shake最常用,指短促而迅速地上下或左右“摇动”、“抖动”;也可指因寒冷,恐惧等引起的颤抖,表此义时可与tremble互换。tremble指因恐惧或愤怒引起的颤抖,可替换shake, quake等词;tremble也含“激动”、“忧虑”之义 。quake多表示由于恐惧而剧烈颤动。quiver表示由于害怕或兴奋而微颤。shiver是因为寒冷而引起的抖动。shudder是指因厌恶等而战粟。
