这几个词都表示“装饰”，指用美丽的物品装饰某物或某场所。

decorate表示为某一特殊事件而进行“装饰”，常指使用色彩与图案等使某物背景不再平淡或单调；decorate还可用来表示“装修”或“装饰”房间等，例如：

She decorated her room with flowers.她用鲜花装饰她的房间。

How much will it cost to decorate?装修需要花多少钱？

adorn较正式，表示装饰自己或某人，也可装饰贵重物品或修饰一些抽象事物，如文学作品等，例如：
