用法说明
nation, country, state
nation可以表示国家，还可表示国家的居民，侧重表示民族，但是不能用它指代国家的地域或国土，它是集合名词，常用单数动词。如要指代国家的地域或国土，要用country表示。state则指政治上独立的国家，或是作为一个国家组成部分的邦或州，如美国的州。试比较：
a militarily powerful nation军事力量强大的民族
The whole nation was alarmed.举国震惊。
an advanced country发达国家
The German nation was once divided into two states: East Germany and West Germany.德意志民族曾分裂成两个国家：东德和西德。
