reach, arrive, get to
这三个词均可作“到达”解。reach 指经过缓慢、艰苦而又有条不紊的努力才达到目的地或目标；arrive作不及物动词，侧重表示到达目的地这一结果而不是过程；get to 较为口语化，常用在口语及非正式场合。试比较：
After several changes of planes, we finally reached Beijing. 换了几次飞机之后，我们终于到达了北京。
They arrived in New York at 3:00pm. 他们于下午三点到达纽约。
