continue, resume,go on, keep, keep on
这几个词都含有“继续”之义。
continue表示“持续不断”或中断之后的“继续”，强调持续过程，例如：
The damaging strike continued for a week. 这次破坏性的罢工持续了一周。
The discussion continued after a short break. 短暂的休息后，讨论继续进行。
resume只强调“中断后继续”，例如：
They resumed the discusson after a short break.他们在休息片刻之后，继续讨论。
go on比较口语化，表示继续做某事时后接ing形式；表示做完一件事后继续做另一件事时，后接不定式。例如：
